Founded in 2009, Kum Fatt Engineering Sdn Bhd (KFESB) has humble roots. It was not for a day that KFESB ceased to improve its company management, project management, and equipment. From traditional horizontal directional drilling (HDD) services for telecommunication cable to the present, KFESB is able to provide one-stop solutions for the fiber optic, power cable, telecom sectors and others. Compared to 2009, KFESB has managed to capture a much broader market now.
With significant investment in HDD technology and employee training, KFESB is committed to minimizing risks during project execution. As part of this commitment to public safety, we are also responsible for the safety of our workers and the environment. Furthermore, KFESB's financial, project management, and organizational strength serve as the strongest assurances for our clients, as we are accredited with Grade 7 from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the categories of B, CE, and ME.
In recognition of its tireless efforts to improvise and innovate continuously, KFESB received two medals of honor in 2019 from the Golden Eagle Award of Nanyang Siang Pau Malaysia, including "Malaysia Top Five Excellent Awards of the Year" and "Malaysia Top 100 Excellent Enterprises". A year after KFESB had experienced rapid growth, continued development, and expansion, it was awarded the "Malaysia Outstanding SME 2020 Award" by the Golden Bull Award.
As a specialist underground utility contractor with decades of experience, KFESB developed each of these standards with an emphasis on the overarching ISO principle of continuous improvement. The company is therefore ISO9001 and ISO45001 certified, as well as commissioned by well-known developers, main contractors, and government agencies for their construction projects, whether they be residential, commercial, infrastructure, or utility-related.
